Adult CPR/AED

Citizens learn to respond to respiratory and cardiac emergencies in adults. 

To teach individuals the skills and knowledge needed to provide care to victims of sudden cardiac arrest through the safe use of an Automated External Defibrillator.

Course Length: 4 Hours

Infant/Child CPR

Learn to reduce the risk of injury to infants to 1 year, how to care for an infant who is choking or whose heart has stopped beating.

Identify how to reduce the risk of injury, and how to care for a child, 1 to 8 years of age who is choking or whose heart has stopped beating.

Course Length: 5 1/2 Hours

First Aid 

Learn to recognize an emergency, care for severe bleeding, muscle, bone or joint injuries, sudden illness, burns, bites.

Course Length: 4 hours

    Babysitter Training

To  provide individuals, ages 11 to 15, with the information and skills necessary to provide safe and responsible care for children in the absence of parents or adult guardians. This training will help participants develop skills in five critical areas: leadership, safety and safe play, basic care, first aid and professionalism.

Course Length: 9 hours

    Lifeguard Training and Water Safety 

To teach lifeguard candidates the skills and knowledge needed to prevent and respond to aquatic emergencies.  The course content and activities prepare candidates to recognize and respond quickly and effectively to emergencies, and prevent drownings and injuries.

Course Length: 30 hours

Train instructor candidates to teach the Infant and Preschool Aquatic Program; the seven levels of the Learn to Swim Program; the Community Water Safety and Water Safety Instructor Aide courses; and, for eligible individuals, the Safety Training for Swim Coaches course.

Course Length: 30 hours
